Revolutionizing the way companies interact with social media platforms
Live Nation approached the CXR Agency team for help with the AR integration in their Governor’s Ball app, which needed to be fully functioning in three days. The CXR Agency team had just those three days to bring their app to life by creating a series of AR and user-friendly 3D models from scratch.
We were able to help the Live Nation team with the following:
CXR Agency took the Live Nation team’s 3D models, created by a third party, and recreated them for improved visuals and better integration capabilities into the app itself.
Live Nation was using a third party to create their original 3D models but found that they were unable to use them. CXR Agency consulted with that technical team and avoided misinterpretation to dodge any problems with the models in the future. Through the consultations, it was determined that the old models were incompatible with the AR software. We also sent and received images of the desired look of the 3D models, making the process simple and achievable in a short time span.
The CXR Agency team set out to create Live Nation’s 3D models from scratch, keeping in mind the importance of gridding and using the correct object format when it came to ensure the objects would map to the user’s face.
The 3D models were created, mapped seamlessly to users’ faces, and Live Nation had a working application on time for their event. Thousands of people at Gov Ball used the application successfully, including Post Malone – the headliner of the event.
When creating 3D models for AR and VR apps, we must consider the ability to successfully integrate the models, their ability to map onto the user’s face, and the importance of AR friendly designs for a better user experience.
