When Gregg came to us with his concept for a solution to easily pay your bill at a restaurant or bar when you're done instead of having to wait for the waiter or bartender, we were very excited about the potential.
We began to work with Gregg on research and brainstorming for the concept and the technology that would power it. We worked with PaidEasy to create personas and use cases to drive our paper prototyping of potential flows - as we worked together we began to uncover some core facets of our experience and interface. Simultaneously as the concept required close integration with numerous POS hardware and software solutions - we began working on researching and prototyping the most effective and efficient approaches to interfacing with as wide a variety of these solutions as possible. In order to maximize our potential for penetration in the market - seamless integration with market leading POS solutions was an absolute necessity, additionally, establishments where we conducted research conveyed how extremely important it was that the solution be quick for their employees to learn and easy for their customers to use.
Armed with our research, personas, use cases, flows and paper prototypes in hand, we worked on crafting a set of hi-fidelity wireframes that we could begin development with. Laying out all of our flows and states in extreme detail, the hi-fidelity wireframe map enabled us to visually convey to Gregg and the PaidEasy team how we envisioned all of major features and all of the details working and most effectively garner their inputs and feedback at this stage.
Upon agreement on the wireframe app map - we began development on the iOS App for PaidEasy and the MEAN stack back-end we decided would be the best approach for PaidEasy's needs.
As the project started to mature, we began to look to the PaidEasy branding and logo. Now that we were in the thick of the concept and its experience, we were more in rhythm than ever to encapsulate the core of PaidEasy into a visual marque.
Conveying something that was easy to use and friendly while clean and modern was the goal. We finally decided on a fairly simple word mark that expressed these values.
Working closely with our experience design team, our CemtrexLabs mobile and web engineering teams worked in tandem to realize the experience we laid out sprint by sprint. Working in a framework of 1 week designs sprints, followed by 2 week development sprints - we work on PaidEasy for 14 weeks before our first release to the Apple App Store.
Upon our initial release we continued to work closely with the PaidEasy team making the product and feature iterations necessary to enhance and streamline the product experience. This included the extension of PaidEasy's payment services to the Apple Watch. Working closely with Gregg, we designed and developed a simple and clean Apple Watch experience that brings the very best and most sensible features from PaidEasy to the Apple Watch.
We continue to work with PaidEasy to iterate on and support their product. Additionally a number of our management team members continue to serve as strategic and technical advisors to PaidEasy.
